The mission entrusted to the writer Juan José Millás was very simple: “Go to Museo del Prado and get lost in the crowd”. It was also fairly complicated: “establish a topography of the place and the sociology of its visitors”. The outcome of that wandering mission lies in this text: an attempt to unravel some of the questions on why people of certain age or origin visit El Prado, and what they do in the premises.
